Marjorie Betts West, age 90 of Austin passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 2, 1925 and moved to California when she was four. Graduated from Montebello High School then worked for Fluor in the personnel department. She married David West after he graduated from UCLA in April 27, 1946, and every Friday night was "date night".
Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, David West.
Marjorie is survived by twin daughters, Susan Jackson and husband Brian and Debbie West; granddaughters, Deleinia A. Babiak, Laila L. Rosenthal and Jillian L. Jenkins; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
