Mark Giambrone, age 64, of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. Mark was born February 13, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York to Robert Louis and Eleanor June Giambrone. He was the third of seven children in an Italian American family.
Mark was probably the kindest man you’d ever meet. He always saw the good in people. He made friends with anyone. His childlike innocence was something to be admired. You’d find yourself being drawn into a long conversation that could last for hours. He just had a way of making everyone feel welcome. If you were ever in a pinch Mark was the first to give you the last two nickels in his pocket or the shirt off his back. He never wanted or asked for much. He was only passionate for his lifelong search for the truth.
Being from New York he grew up with some of the best authentic culinary cuisines at his fingertips. After moving away from his hometown there wasn’t a restaurant he passed up without looking for the best slice of New York style pizza. He’d say the secret was always in the cheese. While he often reminisced about his childhood in Brentwood, NY. The innocent days of staying out all day playing stick ball with neighborhood children only to return home by sundown. Mark lived life by those everlasting simplistic virtues. He lived a full life with little to no regrets.
Mark joined the United States Air Force and served his country for 9 years. It was there he met the love of his life Phyllis Elaine Luce. Married on October 4, 1980. They had two daughters Kelly & Stacy. They put down roots in Austin, Texas for 35 years. After three and a half decades in the Lone Star State Mark decided to move him and his bride to Tennessee to start a new adventure. Little did he know that would be a short and final chapter lasting only four months. Mark’s hobbies included quality time with his family, the Jets football team, Classic Rock music, talking politics, spending hours on his computer researching any and all information, He was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. He enjoyed watching videos and soaking up more knowledge about Christ. He also loved spending time sharing the word of Jesus. In fact, most of every conversation he ever started somehow ended up coming back to Christ. There isn’t a question in anyone’s mind who truly knew him that he is getting all the Truth he ever wanted being in the presence of his everlasting savior.
Mark is survived by his wife of 41 years Phyllis Elaine Luce Giambrone of Clarkesville, Tennessee; children Kelly Grace Giambrone (Justin) Schlenker of Johnstown, Colorado, and Stacy Jean Giambrone of Clarkesville, Tennessee; grandchildren Savannah June Giambrone Schlenker, Graidyn James Schlenker, Weston Emerson Schlenker, Brielle Mae Schlenker of Johnstown, Colorado, and Kierstyn Ryan Giambrone of Clarksville, Tennessee; as well as siblings Robert Giambrone of Austin, Texas, Ronald Giambrone of Macon, Georgia, Paul Scott Giambrone of Ft.
