Born October 14, 1966 in Highland Park, Illinois to Lynn and Joyce Leinen. He lived in several cities across the US during his life including Cory, PA, Walnut Creek, CA, Kingwood, TX, Phoenix, AZ, South Lake Tahoe, CA and Austin, TX.
Mark was a Chef by nature and spent his career working as a chef for over 30 years most recently at Autumn Leaves Memory Care in South Austin. He was an avid golfer and fisherman always searching for the “Big One”, enjoying being out on the water with his sons was one of his biggest enjoyments.
In 2002, while living in South Lake Tahoe, he met the love of his life, Tracy Wolford. Ten months later they were married. They had two sons, Corey Leinen (14) and John Leinen (12). Nothing made Mark happier than his wife and two boys.
Mark was a friend to everyone he met. He always saw the good in everyone and was always available to anyone who needed help. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone. His sense of humor ensured that he was loved by all who met him, he was larger than life and had the personality to match. He had a strong love of all animals and had many pets through his lifetime that he held dear to his heart until his last day.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Ann Leinen; sons, Corey Leinen and John Leinen; mother, Joyce Leinen; sister, Philomena Leinen, brother, Chris Leinen (Robin Leinen), brother, Jeff Leinen (Roisheen Leinen), and sister, Mary Beth Kamnetz (Gregg Kamnetz); and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
