Marlene J. Schatte

Marlene attended McKendree University where she met John Schatte, whom she married on July 2, 1982. She was an accountant for UT Systems for over 23 years, and retired in August 2007. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church and helped start the parish fair and ladies club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Marie, nee Greten, Behrman; four brothers, Donald, Ralph in infancy, Norbert, and Daniel Behrman; sister, Lucy Piper; father-in-law, James Schatte; mother-in-law, Louise Tolosano-Schatte; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Judi Schatte; and sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Mike Pellouchoud.

Marlene is survived by her husband, John Schatte; her daughter, Sarah Schatte; brother, Stanley (Shirley) Behrman; sisters, Grace Connelly, Monica (Leroy) Leabo; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Behrman, and Barb Behrman; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Cook Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, Texas 78749. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at St. Paul Catholic Church 10000 David Moore Dr., Austin, TX 78748. Interment will follow at Cook Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park, 6300 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, Texas 78749.
