Born on August 15, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, Marsha built a life marked by learning, creativity, and love. A hard worker, she started as a telephone operator before moving to Washington D.C. and working for Congress on Capitol Hill. She graduated from George Mason University in the class of 1983, putting herself through college by working as a cocktail waitress at the Four Seasons. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1986. She practiced law as an attorney at Graves Dougherty in Austin before retiring to be a stay at home mother.
Marsha was a caring, stylish, and tenacious woman. A devoted bookworm, she enjoyed her book groups, crossword puzzles, knitting, and crocheting. Her interests reflected both her sharp mind and her creative spirit. She also found meaning in worship at the Church of Conscious Harmony.
Marsha is survived by her daughter, Katie Silver, who resides in Austin.
A service for Marsha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Dr, Austin, TX 78731.
