Martin loved flying and everything about the moon. He was excited that they landed on the moon the first time on his birthday, July 20, 1969. Martin was a member of Air Sea rescue from 1952-56. Stationed in Iceland, California and Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Tx. In 1956 he became a member of Sheet Metal local 67 out of San Antonio. He worked in Air Conditioning/Sheet Metal for more than 40 yrs., continuing to stay an active member of the local after retirement. Some of his favorite stories were around time that he spent with his ‘brother’ Don Morrison hunting and spending time in the cantina at their ranch.
Martin was born July 20, 1932 in Defiance Ohio to Henry Nicholas and Catherine Agatha (Routh) Stuckey. Martin married Mary Ann Dillard January 29, 1956. Mary Ann passed away in 1999. He married Annie Williams on January 14, 2012.
Martin is proceeded in death by his parents Henry & Catherine; first wife Mary Ann; brothers John, Leonard, Richard, Walter, Robert, Paul, Ed; one sister Theresia; sister-in-laws, one brother in-law and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife Annie, son George (Ellen) Stuckey of Leander; daughter Denise (Richard) Dillon of Lockhart. Grandchildren Elisha (Anne) Dillon of Phoenix, Shannon (Walt) Sizemore of Lockhart, Jeffery (Chelsea) Dillon of Lockhart, Travis Stuckey of Austin, Jake Stuckey of Austin. Great-Grandchildren Dylan Sizemore and Lillian Dillon. Close family Mary Glen Morrison and Glen Morrison. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
