

Mary Ann Engeling Morrison, 82, of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2015. She was born on September 20, 1932, to Herman and Olga Engeling. She was Baptized shortly after birth and Confirmed by her father. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1949 and attended Texas Lutheran College. In 1953, she graduated from Scott and White School of Nursing.
Mary Ann married Lucian S. Morrison on August 29, 1954; they were married for 60 years. Mary Ann served as an assistant organist and pianist for the Child Development Center for over 40 years at Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her Lydia Circle and working with Women of the Church. Her church family was very dear to her; she especially enjoyed being a Stephen’s Minister and being a Eucharistic Minister to shut-ins.
Mary Ann loved to travel; when Lucian retired they traveled to all the States except Hawaii and most of the Canadian Provinces. Her family brought much happiness to her and she cherished the time when all could be together.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Hermine Stoll of Taylor, Texas.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Lucian S. Morrison; her daughters, Miriam Corey of Yorktown, Virginia, Susan Morrison of Cayman Brac, British West Indies, and Luanne Davis and her husband Rev. Larry Davis of Farmington, New Mexico; and her grandchildren, Timothy and Carol Beadle, Lindsey and Tracy Porter, Andrea Davis and Hannah Davis. She also is survived by two brothers, Karl Engeling of Elgin and Glen Engeling of Beeville, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 20th of March 2015, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 21st of March 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church, 6600 Woodrow Ave., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Child Development Center or the church’s Organ Fund.
