

Mary Ann Bailey Mary Ann Bailey, 66, of Austin passed away peacefully at her home February 12, 2005. Mary Ann was the daughter of life long Austin residents Thelma Bolm Yeates and the late James P. Yeates. Mary Ann graduated from Austin High School in 1955 with her 50th class reunion to be celebrated later this year. She, along with her late husband Bob J. Bailey, shared a love for horses, raising thoroughbreds on their ranch near Austin. She was a successful rancher and a member of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association. Mary Ann had a great love of Longhorn football and was also active in her community. She was a member of the Junior Helping Hand Home for children and Chi Omega Sorority. Mary Ann had a great sense of family and was a devoted, loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She researched her familys history through her love of genealogy for over 14 years. Mary Ann is survived by her mother Thelma Bolm Yeates, her son Jim Bailey and his wife Robin, daughter Debra Bailey and her partner Susan Redden, daughter Melanie Fish and her husband Laurens, grandchildren Andrew and Bradley Bailey, Merritt and Lawson Fish, all of Austin. The family will receive friends Monday February 14, 2005, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday February 15, 2005 at 1:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park.
