Mary Genevieve Barge Eatman Mary Genevieve Barge Eatman died peacefully on September 15, 2005 at Heartland Healthcare where she resided. She was born on December 7, 1920 in Austin, Texas. Genevieve graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and went on to graduate from the University of Texas in 1941. After graduating, Genevieve served in the Navy as part of the Waves for 2 ½ years before returning to Austin. She was then employed by the Texas Highway Department where she met the man she would marry, William (Bill) Eatman. The two enjoyed a life together filled with boating and water skiing on Town Lake in the boat Bill named Ginny. Genevieve was a faithful servant of Christ as a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and continued to serve until her death. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Arthur Eatman, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barge and her brother Bob Barge. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 17th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
