
To Family of Margaret Fewell,   I am so sorry to hear your lost lovely sister,  I shocked me when I found out just today and broke my heart and really want to see her before she deport to Heaven with Jesus. I will stay in pray for your family and friends.   Mary, she is so great wonderful interpreter in my life.  God bless all of you so Mary, will go up see you someday.   Hugs



I met Mary in the 70's when she was a secretary at Vaughn House.  I guess I've worked with her ever since.   She had such charisma and southern charm.  I was constantly amazed at how she could work a room, the things she could say that no one else would have the nerve to say out loud. She was my hero.   It's hard to imagine life without Mary. 



Mary  is very nice  wioman. we miss her lot.



Mary was talented American Sign Language Interpreter. I first met Mary in the early 1980's when she interpreted for at a training conference.   As I am sure most people who have met her would say, we quickly became friends. She left a lasting impression on me with her blend of professionalism, warmth and humor.  As others have said, she had a way of putting people at ease.  In fact, even in highly stressful meeting situations Mary somehow helped promote a  calm that... I cant explain.  And of course, when Mary interpreted,  you could  be sure there would be at least some things to smile and laugh about.  That was Mary.  



I have many memories of Mary, all of them make me smile. The thing that I most remember about Mary was her generous spirit, always willing to give of herself, share her wisdom, experiences and her laughter. Mary was the kind of person that would "give you the shirt off her back", in fact one day, I admired a necklace she was wearing, she immediatly took it off and put it around my neck and said, "It's yours!" That's Mary!  I have always admired Mary for her skills as an Interpreter, as a strong woman and a kind friend, I along many others will miss her deeply. 

To her family, you are in my thoughts and prayers that you will be comforted during this time of sorrow.  Peace be with you!

One of my fondest memories of Mary was when I was in middle school attending Porter Jr. High.  She and some friends were watching over  us after school as we were together studying for pending confirmation exercises at our respective places of worship.  In true Mary fashion, we had to have fun!  She took us to the then Straw Hat Pizza Palace on South Lamar and ensured that everyone took a ride on the mechanical horse, not once, but several times until we were rolling on the floor with laughter.  Two middle school kids, two College Age kids, and a teacher were all definitely the main entertainment that night at the Pizza place.  She taught me the value of laughter, of letting go of your inhibitions, and of embracing the abilities each of us brings to the table, regardless of our differences.  What a wonderful life lesson she shared with me and with so many others.  Your laughter stays with me always Mary!





Mary was part of my training team at Sorenson. I became an instant fan. She had the best laugh and I loved her wit and sense of humor. I can just imagine her and God swapping stories and laughing to beat the band. 
...til  we meet again...
