Grance Jr. in Pittsburgh and they were married on November 27, 1948. They welcomed two sons, Robert and Richard, to their family while living in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Mary Ann loved being with family, making friends, decorating, shopping, cooking, and crafting. She quickly made friends in each place she lived. Mary Ann became involved in her community, through church, PEO, various clubs and volunteer organizations. People were attracted to her warm caring personality, inviting smile and impeccable style. She was a classy lady!
She often hosted the entire family for the holidays. Mary Ann made sure that their home was beautifully decorated, amazing meals planned, the freezer stocked with chocolate chip cookies and yellow cake and possible activities were penciled in on the calendar before Bob & Nancy, Dick & Gayle and her 5 granddaughters arrived. Mary Ann created so many memories and traditions that have continued and will become part of the memories of her 5 great-grandsons and great-granddaughter.
Mary Ann will be missed but will live on in our hearts and thoughts. Reminders of her life and love surround those who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Kenneth Heeter, her husband Henry and her dear companion, Charlie Heard.
A family memorial will take place in the future. In lieu of donations, if you would like to honor Mary Ann, call a neighbor, feed a friend, or send a card to someone who needs cheering up.
