

Mary was born on June 16, 1937 in Nottingham, England to Timothy and Florence Rayworth. From an early age, she displayed a zest and determination for life that would define her journey. She began her career as a registered nurse in England, dedicating herself to the care of others with compassion and skill. After moving to the United States, she continued her nursing career in Alexandria, Louisiana. Later in life, she transitioned into the banking industry, where she excelled as a bank manager. Her professional endeavors reflected her strong will and fearless approach to challenges.
Mary married Warren Howard and together they built a family filled with love and cherished memories.
She was predeceased by her husband Warren; her parents, Timothy and Florence; her brother Alan Rayworth; and her daughter-in-law Ruby Howard.
She is survived by her children: Mark Bachman, Corinda Bachman, Bradford Howard, and Kyle Howard; her daughters-in-law Kay Howard and Kari Morris; as well as 10 grandchildren: Dale, Luke, Helena, Josie, Brandon, Adyline, Connor, Emma, Charlie, and Lily, who brought immense joy to her life. Mary's family was the cornerstone of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Mary embraced life with a fierce and passionate enthusiasm. She loved traveling the world on cruises and visiting the beaches in Mexico, where she could soak up the sun and enjoy talking and dancing with the locals. Despite her 60-plus years living in the US, her English roots (and accent) stayed with her all her life, infusing her food, philosophy,and sense of humor. Family gatherings were among her favorite occasions. She loved to play Gin Rummy and Charades, swim in the pool with her grandchildren, and family dinners and holidays. These moments were filled with love, laughter, and a hint of chaos. Mary also had a fondness for game shows that showcased her quirky sense of humor and kept her mind sharp.
Those who knew Mary knew her many complex layers but loved every one of them. Her strong-willed nature was balanced by a lighthearted spirit that brought smiles to those around her.
May Mary's memory bring comfort to all who loved her. Her legacy of love, strength, and humor will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
