

Mary Finch Ridout of Austin passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 21, 2007. She was born on April 12, 1922 to Herbert H. Finch and Anne Townes Finch in Austin. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, R.G. Ridout, in 1992. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a lifelong member of St. Davids Episcopal Church and active in the Junior League of Austin and the Colonial Dames of America. Marys family and friends were the focus of her life. Survivors include: her sons Dr. Robert G. Ridout, III and wife, Ginger, of San Antonio; Howell F. Ridout and wife, Debbie, of Kerrville; and John T. Ridout of Houston; her grandchildren, Steve Ridout and wife, Paige; Lauren Ramirez and husband, Jonathan; and Sarah Ridout; and her great-grandchildren, Steven, John and Elodie Ridout. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26th at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home and funeral services will be at St. Davids Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27th with interment following at Austin Memorial Park.
