Mary E. Riggs, age 73, of Karnes City, formerly of Austin died Monday, March 1, 2004. She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on December 25, 1930 to Murrell and Leora Phelps Smith. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Ray Riggs and her brother, James Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Cook and husband Jack; two grandsons, Randy Cox and wife Lisa and Ryan Cox and wife Hilary; four great grandchildren, Lindsay, Ryder, Sara and Colton; one sister, Pat Waugh; two nieces and two nephews.
