Mary McMullen Weir passed away peacefully in Austin, TX on July 31, 2024 at the age of 67. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who will be dearly missed.
A memorial celebration of Mary's life will be held at the grave site on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 12:00pm at Cook-Walden/ Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Mary was born in San Antonio on February 2, 1957 and adopted by Alvin and Eleanor McMullen. She went to St. Benedict’s Catholic School. They moved to Rosanky when Mary was in grade school. She graduated from Lockhart High School.
Mary worked as a waitress, typesetter, and secretary. She worked her way up to become an investigator for the Texas Attorney General’s office; she worked there for 12 years.
Mary enjoyed reading, gardening and the company of her pets. She was silly and fun to be around. Her family loved being with her and she was a friend to many people.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Weir. She is survived by her mother-in-law Patricia Weir, daughter Sarah Huff and son-in-law Stephen Huff and his family, and many cousins from her mother’s Ripps family.
