

Matthew was born on February 20, 1997. Matthew was a creative soul with a passion for art. Although he appreciated all art forms, he was especially passionate for graffiti art. He recently expanded his skill set in screen printing and spent his time making shirts with his personal designs. He enjoyed diverse music. His favorite artists were Kid Cudi and Death Grips. He was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to the library or bookstores. He loved and cared deeply for his family and friends. He took time to be in the moment when spending time with those closest to him. Matthew will always be remembered as having a kind forgiving heart. He graduated from Akins High School, recently attended Austin Community College. He loved God and pursued to know him more as he attended Shoreline Church.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Juan and Diana Fernandez. His brothers, John-Paul, Saul-Paul and Ozzie. His father, Zechariah Timothy Pena. His brother, Zechariah Christian Pena. His grandparents, Rogelio and Argelia Ramos, Amador Pena Sr., and Eloisa Pena.
Matthew also participated in a few art programs through the The Mexican-Arte Museum. He was a cherished student and in his honor a memorial with a few of his art pieces will be displayed. The official display will be opened September 15th and will remain on display for two month.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Shoreline South, 2008 Brandt Rd. Austin, Texas 78744.
