Maurice Alexander Weed Jr. was born in Austin, Texas, the first son of Maurice A. Weed and Lelabel Robbins Weed. He earned a B.A. and M.A. degrees from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Covington Theological Seminary of Rossville, Georgia. Maurice was a Christian minister and dedicated his life to preaching and teaching the Bible.
Maurice was preceded in death by his devoted wife Judy. He is survived by his children Wesley Weed, Cynthia Dirksmeyer and husband Paul, and by grandchildren Benjamin Peterson, Laura Long, Brian Peterson and great granddaughter Daisy Long.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Brentwood Christian School.
A memorial service for Maurice will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ (Chapel), 11908 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78753.
