Michael Clayton Hughes

Michael Clayton Hughes, 28, beloved son of Donna Bowen and Hal Hughes, passed away in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Bowen Hughes; his uncle, J. Donald Bowen; and his grandparents, Josephine and Don Bowen. He is survived by his parents; his step-parents, Joy Hughes and Steve Stiles; his grandmother, Virginia Hughes; his step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Michael was born in Austin, Texas and lived most of his life there, attending Westlake High School. He attended college in Colorado. He had recently worked for several years at the Alamo Draft House. He was passionate about his job and loved his co-workers. Michael never judged people and always saw the good in others. His sweet heart and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be conducted at half-past three in the afternoon, Wednesday, the 16th of February in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin.
