Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on October 20th 1956, Mike grew up enjoying baseball, camping, fishing, riding his dirt bike and playing guitar. In his late teens, Mike ventured to Austin, TX. He was adept with his hands, and mechanically inclined, earning him a career with the City of Austin as Equipment Operator with more than 25 years of service. He was often seen wearing baseball caps, and cowboy boots, a style well-suited for his casual demeanor and Austin pride. In his spare time, Mike could be found working on old cars, walking his dog, and playing pranks on his family, as he possessed a wry, yet good-natured sense of humor. Those around him knew him to be a selfless individual with a heart of gold.
Surviviors include brothers Thomas Kazmierski and Jenoah McDowell.
His children survivors include daughters, Michelle Steele and Ashley Kazmierski and sons Wesley and Lane Kazmierski.
Mike is also survived by his ex-wife, Jessica Bargas.
