Michael "Mike" James Sakewitz, of Hutto, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the age of 58. Mike was born, December 4, 1958, and raised in Austin by his parents Milburn and Katherine Sakewitz. He graduated from McCallum High School in 1977.
Mike worked for the Hutto Independent School District, where he was an invaluable employee, friend, and "jack of all trades". Mike was a devoted father to his two daughters, Samantha and Kristina.
He was preceded in death by his father (Milburn) and is survived by his mother (Katherine), his sister (Brenda), his ex-wife (Catherine), many aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with a multitude of friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 11th, at 2:00, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, in Austin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Mike requested donations be made to Hospice Austin - Christopher House.
