Michael Richard Stevens was born on November 26, 1955 in Austin, Texas to Gwendolyn Elizabeth Schieffer, and Harvey Morris Stevens, Sr. Michael graduated from the Jerry Mac Clifton Center (Austin Independent School District, Austin, Texas).
Michael lived at home with our loving and active family. He attended public school, and loved swimming, golfing and bowling. He loved participating in Special Olympics where he earned many awards. After the passing of his parents, Michael spent some happy years at Marbridge Ranch in Manchaca, Texas. In 2007, he began living at the Austin State Supported Living Center in Austin, Texas where all of the services that he needed were right on the campus and the dedicated, loving, kind and loyal staff were able to meet all of the challenges that the Alzheimer dementia presented. The staff provided holistic team care for him in his specialty care home which he loved.
Michael had lifelong friends from his days as an elementary school student through his entire adulthood in the group named the Special Stars.
Michael is predeceased by his mother and father. Michael is survived by his sister Nancy Hrin, Nona Rogers, and his brother Morris Stevens, Jr. and by many loving nieces and nephews.
