She loved to cook for her family and tell of her fond memories of growing up on a farm or her life in France. She maintained a life-long love of poetry and to the end could recite from memory lines from her favorite poems. Mildred enjoyed staying engaged with people and continued to enjoy reading and her daily newspaper every morning over breakfast.
