In her youth, Mimi participated in little league and was at one time a Girl Scout Brownie Leader. As an adult, Mimi was the first female manager of a plant; she managed at Capital City Steel Co. and Commercial Metals Co. In her spare time, she enjoyed Bunko, casinos and bowling. She attended Abiding Love Lutheran Church.
Mimi is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Francis Tidwell; daughter Karen Tubiville of Deadwood, South Dakota. She is succeeded in death by her husband, Charles Rhea; children Carla (Don) Havins of Austin, Texas, Rich Tubiville of Deadwood, South Dakota and Scott (Delia) Lunday of Austin, Texas; siblings David (Lesa) Tidwell of Belton, Texas and Ann (Larry) Gross of San Marcos, Texas; as well as 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 5 nephews.
A visitation for friends and family of Mimi will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. The graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00am at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park with a reception to follow in the Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home event center.
