

She is the eldest of 11 siblings born to Betty Jean Hall. She has two children, Gerald Pulley, born in December 1966, and Michelle Feeman, born in July 1970. She graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, IA, and she received her Doctor of Juris Prudence in 1992 from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.
Nancy dedicated her life to service and social justice. A former Illinois State Attorney General and General Counsel for Chicago State University, Chicago Illinois. Her commitment to equality, peace, and love was exhibited not only in her career but in her faith. She was a 45-year member of SGI and the teachings of Nichiren Buddhism. A strong woman of faith, Nancy used her faith to guide her life and to support the lives of her family and friends.
She had immense love for her family, friends, and pets. She also loved shopping, not only for herself but for others. No matter what she did, she always brought a smile and an inviting demeanor that instantly lit up a room. She is survived by her children, Gerald and Michelle; grandchildren, brothers and sisters; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be remembered for the compassion and love she consistently showed everyone who entered her life.
We thank her for her wisdom: “When you know better…You do better,” and finally, when life is hard and you simply don’t know what to do -start with LOVE.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78752, followed by a Prayer Service at 2:00 PM.
