Than was born on August 20, 1980, in Gillette, WY. He graduated from Billings Senior High in 1998, in Billings, MT. Growing up he lived in Gillette, WY for a brief period, Westfield, MA from 1981-1989, moving to Roseville, CA for a short time, on to Coeur D’ Alene, ID for 4 years, Billings, MT for another 4 years, and from there he moved back to Westfield and then down to Austin, TX where he remained.
Than was truly the image of a master craftsman in his trade as a finish carpenter; his ingenuity and love for woodworking led him to some of the most exquisite projects in the Austin area. His other interests involved welding, working on his trucks, spending time with friends and driving in demolition derby contests.
Than was loving; he was bold; he was generous; he was loyal; he was full of wild-intensity! His family and friends dearly loved him, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
