

Nelda Rae Bradshaw Frazer passed away on December 17, 2025, at Christopher House in Austin, Texas, with her loved ones by her side. She was born on November 22, 1946, in Bastrop, Texas, to Johnny James Bradshaw and Clara Ada Brown. Nelda will be remembered for her courage, warmth, and deep love for her family.
Nelda married Michael Lane Frazer in July 1965, and together they built a life of devotion, resilience, and quiet strength. She was the proud mother of Robert Lane Frazer and is survived by her husband, Michael Frazer, her son, Robert Frazer, and her sisters Helen, Mary, and Aileen. Nelda was predeceased by her mother, Clara Ada Brown; her father, Johnny James Bradshaw; and her brother, Daryl Bradshaw.
Throughout her life, Nelda lived in many places around the world, including Libya, Malta, Spain, Scotland, and several states in the U.S., including South Carolina, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Kentucky, and Texas. These experiences sparked her curiosity, helped her make lasting friendships, and gave her a deep appreciation for the variety of life. Nelda faced challenges with determination and grace. After surviving breast cancer, she enjoyed many cancer-free years since 1998. Her family and friends remember her as unyielding and generous with her love.
Those who knew Nelda remember a woman of distinctive spirit: strong yet tender, independent yet deeply devoted to family. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel meaningful and for offering steady support when it mattered most. Her presence brought comfort, her laughter brought light, and her courage inspired those around her.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center February 7, 2026 — 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM Light refreshments and charcuterie will be served. The family welcomes remembrances and stories that celebrate Nelda’s life and the many ways she made the world kinder.
