

She graduated from Taft High School, Taft, Texas as valedictorian in 1938. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and then worked as a bookkeeper at Harrison-Wilson-Pearson, Real Estate. She married Clifton (Cliff) Knezek on November 4, 1943 in Austin. They lived in Abilene for ten years (1953-1962) where she was a charter member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church and a member of Hendricks Hospital Auxiliary. They moved back to Austin in 1962 and lived there until 2006, when they moved to Victoria. While in Austin, Nora Nell attended Highland Park Baptist Church where she was a longtime second grade Sunday School teacher and a member of Triple L. She was a member of Seton Hospital Auxiliary and worked at Austin's Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians. She was known as a wonderful cook and hostess, who loved to share her home with family and friends.
Nora Nell is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Cliff Knezek, of Victoria, and daughter, Kay Knezek, of Victoria. She is also survived by nieces Elizabeth Wollet of Round Rock and Mary Ann Knezek of Bryan; nephew Russell and wife, Terry, Berry of Scottsdale, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Inez Machu and Mildred Newton; brother, Russell Bruce Berry.
The family would like to offer a special Thank You to friends and neighbors and to her caregivers Katie Padilla and Renett Holcomb and Lesa Fernandez (deceased) for their compassionate care and thoughtfulness.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, TX.
