Obid Larry Collier, 80, a resident of Buda, Texas, died March 21, 2022 after a short illness. Larry was born on October 3, 1941 in Whitharral, Hockley County, Texas, to Obid and Julia Collier. He married Sandy Brock on December 2, 1967 in Lubbock, Texas. The couple moved to Austin in 1970, then to Buda in 1980. Larry and Sandy celebrated 55 years of marriage this year.
Larry retired as a longtime employee of the City of Austin in 1997. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing and hunting in and around Central Texas with his two sons.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry Collier; and two sisters, Hattie Clarkson and Ocie Wilkerson.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sandy Brock Collier; his two sons, Wesley Todd Collier and Gregory Scott Collier; his sister, Millie Rush and her husband, Gary; his sisters-in-law, Sue Collier, Susan Brock Perkins, and Donna Brock Rosen; several nieces and nephews; and "sweet Molly", his loving family dog.
