Olivia S. Reyna

Olivia S. Reyna, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, the 16th of March 2011 in Austin, Texas. Olivia was born on the 3rd of June 1927 in Ben Arnold, Texas to Ramon Santos and Indalesia Deolloz Santos. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Raymond and Freddie Santos, sisters; Clementine Quintero and Mary Ruiz. Olivia was a loving and giving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She took the role of caregiver at the age of nine and continued in this role all through her life assisting and continued in this role all through her life. She assisted with her mother’s care and then her husband Frank’s care until his death in December 2009. Olivia is survived by her children, Melba D. Reyna, Dora M Petrek (George III), and Frank A. Reyna, grandchildren; Julie M. Rhorer, Amanda J. Rhorer, Marisa A. Reyna and Ciana O Reyna, sisters; Julia Lopez and Carolina Reina and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Luis and Jose Santos, Jesse and Steve Santos, Andrew and Mark Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank A. Reyna, George Petrek, III., and Stefen Wilson. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Sunday, the 20th of March from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening with a rosary recited at seven o’clock in the evening at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A funeral mass will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 21st of March at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 5909 Reicher Drive Austin, Texas. An internment ceremony will be at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
