Pansy Brandt

Pansy Josephine Brandt, 83, longtime resident of Austin, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. Pansy was born on July 21, 1929 in Rochester, Texas to Bernice Matheny Harcrow and Clyde J. Harcrow. Pansy and Fritz owned and operated Justin Lane Beauty Salon in Austin for over 30 years. Pansy enjoyed traveling and visiting her brothers and sisters. Seeing the wildflowers was one of her favorite things to do. She so loved people and family!

For the last year of her life she was blessed and resided in Georgetown with her granddaughter, Windy Thomas and family. She so loved being with the boys!

Pansy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fritz; brother, Clyde (Bud) Harcrow II; and grandson, Jimbo Frierson.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Latia and Jerry Smith, Thomas and Janice Frierson, and Carlton Brandt; sister, Mary and Bob Dietz; sister-in-law, Mildred Harcrow; grandchildren, Windy, Stacy, Ericka, and Buddy and their families; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, other family, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Cameron Corbin officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made to the Care of Carlton (Peanut) Fund, as his continuing care was very important to Pansy. Please see any of the family to make contributions.
