Pat was one of my fondest college memories. As you said in the obituary, he was always fun, cheerful and happy. I knew Mike and have thought about him many times, as I have Pat and their parents. I am happyy to know that Pat had such a rich life with so many loved ones. It has been many years since the college days and I just happened to discover this tonight. Sad to know he is gone. I didn't know Jay well, but I want to give him my condolences as I do Pat's wife and family.
What a wonderful photo of Pat.

Barbara,
It is a sad day to hear of Pat's untimely passing. Bill and I think of the many fun times we had over the years here in Fredericksburg with you and Pat. We, too, remember the fiesta days at Laguna Gloria. He always worked hard and had a smile for everyone. He was a gem and a joy. God bless you and your family.

RODNEY SHEPPARD

May 28, 2018

Barbara and family: my earliest recollection of Pat was Laguna Gloria Fiestas on the grounds of the museum and the lively, entertaining and sometimes boisterous activities at the auction of art pieces (a prime source of revenue raised) conducted by a close-knit group of men including Wally Pryor and Pat Davis. Pat worked the crowd, cajoling people he knew (basically everyone in the tent) to bid and bid high for the benefit of the guild. Every year, Pat could be counted on to be there, to entertain, to get the spirits up and to get the bids up and in.

Pat brought the same enthusiasm to every endeavor undertaken. Always greeting everyone with a big smile, a glint in his eye and a firm handshake--basically a good old boy that you were always happy to see. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Bless you and your family, Barbara.
