

Patricia Louise O'Brien Harris, 85, of Austin, Texas, passed away suddenly on October 9, 2005. Patricia was born in Vincennes, Indiana. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she was a Blue Bonnet Belle. Beloved wife of Herbert S. Harris, Jr., who predeceased her. During World War II she served as Assistant to the Commanding General of an Army Base in North Carolina while her husband served in the U. S. Army in Europe. After the war, she and her husband moved to Midland, Texas to open a law office. They resided in Midland until 1979 when she and her husband moved to Austin where he was appointed Chairman of the Industrial Accident Board. Patricia was a member of the Porcelain Arts Club in Austin and had held a leadership office in the State organization during her tenure. She is survived by her daughters Carol Schrepple and husband Jeff, and Dorothy Harris; her son Herb Harris, III and his wife Karen, and her grandchildren, Patricia Maney, Melissa Lutke, Bert Harris, Brian Harris and Amanda Harris. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Texas State Cemetery.
