Patricia Ann Ledesma (56), a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, in Austin, Texas, surrounded by the love of her life, Mike, and the love of her family and friends.
Born on March 16, 1968, in Austin, Texas, Patti was the cherished daughter of Yolanda Ramos and George Diaz. As the eldest sibling, she took her role seriously, fiercely protective of her younger brother, George. She graduated from Reagan High School in Austin, where she formed lifelong friendships and began shaping the warmth and generosity that defined her life.
In 1987, Patti met the love of her life, Mike Ledesma. From the moment they met, they were inseparable—talking for hours, always on the move, and never wanting to be apart. Their love story unfolded in the most beautiful way, leading them to a spontaneous decision to marry on August 12, 1989, in the blooming botanical gardens. Their bond only deepened as they built a family together, welcoming their first son, Jeremy, in 1990, followed by Jacob and Jesse, completing the loving household she had always dreamed of.
Patti’s heart knew no limits when it came to love—her family was everything. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was late-night talks, family dinners, or simply being present for life’s everyday joys. She never met a stranger—within moments, acquaintances became friends, drawn in by her warmth, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness. She had a magnetic presence that lit up every room she walked into.
Her dedication extended beyond her home and into her career, where she became a pillar of the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool (TMLIRP) for nearly three decades. Patti joined TMLIRP on a temporary assignment, but her unwavering work ethic, sharp mind, and boundless dedication propelled her to the role of Operations Supervisor. In this position, she played a vital role in fostering relationships with municipal officials across Texas, ensuring seamless coordination with the TMLIRP Board. Patti was more than just a colleague—she was a cherished friend and confidante to the Board Members and staff alike. They admired her commitment, warmth, and ever-present kindness, and she, in turn, held deep affection for them. Patti took immense pride in her work, knowing that her efforts made a lasting difference in both the organization and the lives of those she worked with.
Patti was preceded in death by her father, George Diaz. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Ledesma; her beloved sons, Jeremy (Alyssa) Ledesma, Jacob Ledesma, and Jesse Ledesma; her adored grandchildren, Mia and Elijah Ledesma; her mother, Yolanda Ramos; and her brother, George (Laura) Diaz. She also leaves behind her beloved pets, Mister Jellybean and JoJo, who brought her endless joy.
