

Patrick Conrad Elliott, age 34, died May 8, 2015, in Austin, TX. Patrick was born in Harlingen, TX, August 13, 1980. The family moved to Austin in 1982. He attended Summit, Webb and Read Elementary Schools, Burnet Middle School, and Lanier High School. He graduated from Lanier in 1997.While at Lanier, he played drums in the Marching Band and Jazz Band. Other activities he participated in while growing up include Boy Scouts, t-ball, and soccer. He was an avid skateboarder as well.
He got his first drum set at age 11. By age 13, he was playing in his first rock band, "The Fat Girls." That band later turned into a local favorite ska band, "The Impossibles." While Patrick was still in High School, the band played at venues such as Liberty Lunch and Emo's, and also toured the U.S. Patrick moved to San Francisco in 2001 to pursue his music education and career. He graduated in 2007 from Expression College in Emeryville, CA with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sound Arts. While in California, he played in several bands and worked as an audio engineer at studios such as Different Fur. He also ran live sound at many popular venues.
Patrick returned to Austin in 2011. He worked as a stage hand for W3 Events and the Erwin Center, and as a drum tech for Soundcheck .
He is remembered as "a loving, kind, all-around wonderful human being, who made us all light up with his hilarious sense of humor." He had a zest for life and was loved by his many friends and family. Patrick is survived by his mother, Vernelle Elliott, his father and step-mother, William R. Elliott and Gayle Unruh of Jefferson City, MO, his sister Lisa Cobb (Jason), niece Nora, nephew Byron, grandmothers Thelma Munson of Georgetown, TX, and Irene Elliott of Gonzales, TX.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wilbur Munson and Rawleigh Elliott.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 2:00, at Weed-Corley-Fish funeral home.
