

Born January 11, 1932 to Deciderio and Senaida Cantu Trevino in Lockhart, TX. He passed on February 4, 2014. Raised on a farm as a cattleman and horseman he enjoyed the outdoors. As a teenager he grew his own crop and worked cattle on the ranch. In 1949, he married his true love, Concepcion Quiroz of Austin, TX. Paul enlisted in the Texas National Guard in 1951 where he was in the 249th Division Co. A. He was honorably discharged in 1960 as a sergeant.
Paul loved to ride, rope, hunt, fish, golf, and most of all he loved to dance. He was a member of many organizations such as the Capitol Bass Club, Pan Am Golf Association, Austin Charro Association, and the Travis County Sheriff's Posse.
His passion as a horseman led him to become deputized by Sheriff Raymond Frank in 1980 to assist in search and rescues for missing persons and in weather catastrophes on horseback. In 1982, Paul also performed with the Travis County Sheriff's Posse Mounted Drill Team and competed in Dallas TX. 1982 He served as the escort and bodyguard for Dolly Parton during the movie premier, "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." He was a willing person to assist in the rodeo community whenever he was able. He traveled with his daughters and granddaughter all over the State of Texas performing in rodeos.
Along with his passion for rodeos he also shared a passion for the Mexican rodeos. As a member of the Austin Charro Association he demonstrated and performed the art of Charriadas, (Mexican rodeos). He traveled to Houston and San Antonio to demonstrate these skills in the Mexican community.
During Paul's time away from rodeos he supported his grandson and granddaughter in baseball and softball. Paul supported the Del Valle Little League and community.
He proceeded in death by his father, Deciderio Trevino and mother, Senaida Trevino, twin infant sisters, another infant sister, and two brothers, Juanito and Lalo, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Concepcion of 63 years, a sister, Dolores (Dolly) and spouse Gustavo Segura and a brother, Thomas Trevino. Paul has six children, Paul Trevino, Jr, Tony Trevino and wife Wanda Trevino, Mary Estrada and husband David Estrada, Charlie Trevino, Linda Mosher and husband Gary Mosher, and Senaida (Sandy) Martinez and husband Armando Martinez. Paul has 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Paul Trevino, Jr, Tony Trevino, Charlie Trevino, Shaun Trevino, Christopher Lopez, and Calem Trevino. Honorary pallbearer is Marshall Dillon Trevino.
The Trevino family would like to give thanks to the doctors, nurses, and aides of the 9th floor of University of Texas Medical Center for their compassion with the family during this time.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on February 10, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lockhart, Texas. Interment will follow at Clark Hispanic Chapel Cemetery, McMahan, Texas.
