Philip Dan Williamson

November 11, 1954 – November 18, 2025
Obituary of Philip Dan Williamson
IN THE CARE OF

Fuller-Sheffield Funeral Services

Phil Williamson, a gentle and adoring father and friend, passed away on November 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in South Austin, Texas, Phil grew up with his parents, John and JoAnn Williamson, and his younger sister, Kathy. The values he learned in his childhood home shaped the kind, patient, and generous man he became.

Phil found joy outdoors from an early age. He was an avid fisherman in his younger years and loved nothing more than spending time in nature, whether camping beneath the Texas stars or taking long, winding drives through the countryside. He adored both the coast and the mountains, places where he felt most at peace. Phil also had a lifelong love of sports. He played on a local softball team, The South Austin Wizards, and proudly cheered for the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys, and the San Antonio Spurs.

Music brought Phil great happiness, and he enjoyed live performances of all genres. He was a talented cook known for his grilling skills, and he had a special gift for nurturing plants with his green thumb. Fascinated by the weather—especially tornadoes—Phil never missed the chance to watch a big Texas thunderstorm roll in.

Above all else, Phil loved his family deeply. In the later years of his life, he devoted himself to caring for his mother, a role he embraced with compassion and devotion. His greatest joys were his daughters, Jennifer and Emily, and granddaughters, Evie and Olivia, who brought light and pride into his life.

Phil’s kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched everyone he met. He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he graced.

May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in peace.
