Phillip Lee Johnston, 71, of Austin, Texas passed away on November 29, 2019. He was born on May 20, 1948 to Helen Elizabeth Steiner and Wallace Hugh Johnston in Eugene, Oregon.

Phillip met Vicki Johnston in 1996. They were married on 21 June, 1997 in Coolum, Queensland, Australia.

PJ had several passions in life. Flying, golf and his Pontiac GTO were his favorites, however love for his family was always his priority.

As an accomplished Lieutenant Commander Pilot and instructor pilot for the Navy, Lieutenant Commander Phil Johnston had the opportunity to fly multiple prop planes and P3’s taking him around the world. He spent most of his free time playing golf, talking about playing golf and watching golf!!

PJ has lived all over the world and visited places that many of us could only imagine. He will be dearly missed by all of us that knew and loved him, he will be in our hearts forever and never forgotten. God Bless his soul and now he can rest in peace.
