Mom loved working. She worked for the Federal Government for 42 years. After retiring from the IRS on a Friday, she went to work tor the City of Austin the following Monday and worked there another seven years. After retiring, she spent time taking care of her mom and then her dad until they passed away. She also babysat her grandchildren. Mother was such a lovely person. She loved being on the go and visiting all of her family members on the weekends. Everyone that met mom loved her. Mom was a Godly woman always putting others before herself each and every day. She will be missed.

Porfiria G. Gonzales

I didn’t get to spend a ton of time with Granny but when I remember her I always remember her kind eyes. She was always so welcoming and always asked about my neighbor even though she only met her once and it had been a while back. She was such a great lady and I think it would have been something to know her in her youth.

Porfiria and my mother were very good friends. Porfiria was a beautiful soul, full of love and compassion for all. She loved her family above all and was always there for them. I feel very blessed to have known her and enjoyed her company always. I will truly miss her presence at the family gatherings. She lived a very good life, enjoying it to the fullest. To Cindy, Sylvia and the rest of Porfiria's family my heartfelt condolences.

Mrs. Gonzales you will truly be missed by so many. You were one of the sweetest women I have ever known. You always made me feel like part of the family. I'm glad to have meant both Mr. Gonzales and you. I will be praying for all your family who have always been kind to me. Cindy and Silvia are both great women and will be your families legacies. May you rest in Peace and I love you.

I am very sorry for your loss. Aunt Porfiria was a very sweet woman that I fondly remember having conversations with while sitting at Annie’s kitchen table most Sunday’s, enjoying the food, and the multitude of little ones running around. She was always considerate, helpful, and never had an unkind word for anyone.
A life well lived...
