Ramona Lee Herrin

Ramona Lee Herrin left to be with the Lord on March 9, 2012. She passed away peacefully with one of her daughter's by her side. She joined her husband, Vernon Herrin of 51 years. She went home in time to spend their anniversary together, on March 10th. Mom was the best, she loved unconditionally. My favorite memories shine bright..she loved shopping, cooking, peach tea, and her soap operas. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a passionate and caring person and worked hard to support her family. She was not only our mom, but a friend and confident and will be missed greatly until we can meet again.

Ramona is survived by her four children, Kathy McCallum and husband, Mike of Leander, George Herrin of Florence, Beverly Jones of Cedar park, and Karla Whorton and husband Joe of Washington. She has 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Smithwick Cemetery in Smithwick,TX.
