Randy Lee Anderson passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Seton Hospital in Kyle, Texas due to cancer. Randy was born on November 20, 1958 in Rochester, Minnesota. He was the son of Duane G. and Delores A. Anderson. He has two brothers, Bruce and Mike Anderson, and one sister Cindy L. Anderson Ryan. Randy grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and graduated from Mayo High School in 1977. He learned how to weld when he was in his upper teenage years and welding became his career.
Randy moved to Austin, Texas in his early twenties. He worked at Ernie’s welding shop until 1988 and then opened his own business, Anderson Welding and Fabrication. With the help of his two brothers, dad and mom, his business became successful. Randy enjoyed, traveling, camping, hunting and fishing. His other passion was going to the NASCAR races, and NHR drag races. Randy was a loving, caring man and was respected by a lot of people in the Austin, Texas area due to the quality of his work. He loved being with and spending time with his family.
Randy Anderson is preceded in death by his father, Duane G. Anderson and his mother, Delores A. Anderson, and his grandparents, Ernie Anderson and Verna Anderson Stuhr, and Bernice Hanson.
He is survived by his two brothers, Bruce R. Anderson, and Mike. D. Anderson, and his sister Cindy L. Anderson Ryan, and brother-n-law Tim Ryan. Randy has two nephews, Curt Anderson and Jesse Mize, and three nieces Angela Anderson Davis, Jenny Anderson and Cori Mize, and he also has 3 great-nephews, two great-nieces, and one godchild, Brittany Plocica.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Honoring Randy as pallbearers will be Bruce Anderson, Mike Anderson, Curt Anderson, Jesse Mize, Sam McMichael, and Arvid Grimm. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cori Mize, Brittany Plocica, and Rod Elliott.
