Rankin H. Chapman, Sr. Rankin H. Chapman, Sr., 101, passed away in Austin on Tuesday, July 19, 2005. He was born in Caldwell County, Texas on September 29, 1903 to Wilbahn and Thomas Ann Chapman. Rankin graduated from Lockhart High School and was employed as an Accountant for the LCRA. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Austin. He enjoyed scouting, church, Masonic Lodge, friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Lura Lee Chapman; his children, Rankin H. Chapman Jr. and wife Connie, James T. Chapman and wife Sandra and Scott Chapman and wife Vicki; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A private family graveside will be followed by a memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22nd at First United Methodist Church Chapel, 12th and Lavaca, with Rev.
