Raymond Stanley Hudson was born in Travis County, Texas, April 17, 1938. He married Peggy Fredrickson in 1967. Together, they had two children. He and his brothers owned Hudson Brothers Construction which specialized in rock masonry until their retirement. He lived next door to them where they had daily lively card games before working together on their latest projects. He was a descendent of the original settlers of Hudson Bend. He was also an avid gardener and farmer who enjoyed raising chickens, having an annual vegetable garden and small pecan orchard. Raymond loved to travel to Louisiana and frequent casinos while enjoying all you can eat seafood buffets which usually consisted of his all-time favorite, crab legs. He was the best grandfather to three granddaughters and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers, Tasker Hudson, Wiley K Hudson, Jr., Neal Hudson and his parents, Wiley K Hudson, Sr. and Nelethye Hudson.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hudson; his daughter, Melissa Hudson of Austin, Texas; and his son, Stan Hudson of Georgetown, Texas, wife Kelli; and grandchildren, Luna Ray Davis, Ireland Sara Davis and Ava Ray Hudson.
Raymond left this earth on the same land he was born on, surrounded by his family on August 21, 2025.
Graveside service will take place at 11am Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Teck Cemetery, Travis Co., Texas.
