Smokey was a devoted physical therapist who spent his career helping others heal and regain their strength — a calling that mirrored his own passion for movement as a long distance runner. He logged countless miles over the years, and those who knew him remember his discipline, endurance, and quiet determination both on the road and off. He was also a lover of live music, always eager for the next show and the next great song.
Above all, Smokey was a devoted husband and a great father, cherished for his love, guidance, and the example he set for his sons and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen Kubacak, and his brother, Ricky Kubacak.
Smokey is survived by his wife, Cindy Kubacak; his sons Ian Kubacak (wife Ashley), Isaac Kubacak (wife Britni), and Ivan Kubacak (wife Katie); and his grandchildren, Steely, Iluka, and Landon.
