

He was predeceased by his father William Walter and mother Georgie Elizabeth McMullin, his beloved wife June; brothers Willard and Lee Roy and his sister Wilma. Raymond is survived by his nieces and nephews, Doug Willard Jr., Debra, Patty, Gary, Lee Roy Jr., Michael, Dale, Robert, and Samantha and, his sister-in-law Judy as well as several great-nieces and nephews and many friends.
Raymond joined the Navy October 30, 1948, and was honorably discharged October 29, 1952. In the navy he was a small boat coxswain. He transported people from ship to shore during their liberties.
His hobbies were growing vegetables in his back yard, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed dancing to country music with a long time personal friend (Janie Davis) whom he worked for many years.
He owned a small landscaping business. He worked at Lakeway Estates where he met many business people while working at their private homes. He gained their respect and appreciation for the work he did. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A special thanks to William R. Courtney Veterans Home and Scott & White Healthcare in Temple for taking such good care of Raymond.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 A.M., officiated by Reverend Don Amundson and special music rendered by John Youngblood. Interment will follow the service at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Pallbearers for Raymond are Douglas McMullin, Gary McMullin, Michael McMullin, Robert McMullin, Charles Hignight, Coogan Hignight and honorary pallbearer Trey Davis.
