Raynaldo L Salazar

He is reunited with his parents Marcos Salazar Sr. & Tomasa Salazar. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Mary Mendoza Salazar, daughter Sandra Salazar O'Connor, grandson Johnny Ray Stinebaugh and granddaughter in-law Magda Martinez, sisters Elida Escobar and Connie Cervantes. Ray was a decorated Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam, and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member. He loved cooking and seeing the joy on people's faces after eating his food. He participated in barbecue and chili cook offs, winning 1st place multiple times. Ray loved watching and playing golf when he could, and collected antique cars throughout his life. He will be missed dearly but his spirit will live on forever.

Visitation will be held Sunday August 3rd from 5:00pm-8:00pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish located at 2620 South Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704.

On Monday August 4th, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am at St. Peter's Church located at 4600 East Ben White Blvd, Austin, TX 78741. Interment will immediately follow at Santa Maria cemetery, 1300 FM 1825, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
