Ann was born and raised in Austin, Texas and a proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School “We’re the best that can be” senior class of 1963. Ann graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1967. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
In 1981, Ann started her career at the University of Texas at Austin as an administrator in the Geology Department as a graduate assistant. She continued to work in the Graduate studies department as a graduate coordinator until she retired in 2018 after 37 years with outstanding honors.
Ann had a passion for gardening, tennis and was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed a variety of music and played the piano.
Ann had a beauty like no other, inside and out. She had a laugh and smile that resonated with everyone she met and her friends and family who loved her.
Ann will be forever in our hearts and profoundly missed. We will cherish her memories truly, deeply and fondly.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother Lexia, father Roy Frank Varnado and the father of her children, Sutton Gibbs Page.
Ann is survived by her brother Brien Varnado, son Charles Page, daughter Becky Page Packard, son-in-law Mark Packard, grandchildren Victoria and Jeff Moore, Michelle Patrick, great-grandchildren Marshall Moore, Maddie Jo Moore and Malcolm Moore.
Funeral will be held graveside at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery with services provided by Good Shepherd Episcopal Church on Friday April, 5 2024 at 12:00 pm. Livestream link for the graveside service: https://evt.live/ann-varnado-page-funeral
