

Richard was born in Lockhart and was raised in Maxwell with his brothers and sister. He also served in the United States Marines Corps before returning to Austin where he lived with his family until his death.
He is preceded in death by his father, Basilio N. Baltierra, Sr. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Anna Baltierra; daughter, Denise Baltierra; and son, Ritchie Baltierra. He is also survived by his mother, Carmen Baltierra; two brothers, Larry Baltierra and Basilio Baltierra, Jr. (Michelle); and sister, Angela Sepulveda (Eli); among all of his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, January 28, 2018 with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 29, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Avenue. Burial will follow at San Juan Cemetery, Reedville, Texas.
Honoring Richard as pallbearers will be Basilio Baltierra, Jr., Michael-Allan Baltierra, Larry Baltierra, Jonathan Rivera, Steven Baltierra, and Adrian Esparza.
