Rich served in the United States Marine Corps where he learned about computers and went on to use those skills for his life’s work. He worked for banks, NCR, GE, Dell, and SSDS and was currently employed by the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services.
He was an avid bass fisherman and also enjoyed hunting, cooking, bowling, and golf.
Rich is survived by his wife, Karen, and their daughter Heather.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Austin, or St. Jude’s Hospital.
