Ricky was born May 31st, 1956 and was brought home from the hospital on his Mother’s 16th birthday. And the miracles began! Our Family!
Rick was proud to be adopted by his Dad, Karl Hudson on St. Patrick’s Day when he was 7 years old. Thus-the Hudson Family begins! After Karl passed, he was again honored to be loved by his Dad, Jerry Watson and Pop Ed Allesandro. Rick worked for Broadwing Communications for 17 years and loved his job and his “Broadwing Family.” Rick volunteered for Seton NW Hospital later and loved telling the stories of how he hoped he helped someone-that day. His proudest thing was being a Cub Scout Leader! Those boys were so scared of him at first! The First Cub Scout “Knot” Rick taught them, was how to tie their shoes! They all had the Velcro shoe thing going on at the time! They figured Mr. Rick out after a while and absolutely loved him! Rick and his family became members of Church of the Savior and have been loved by the COTS family ever since. Rick and our Pastor Mary got to love each other with all the hospital Blessings! Even family that was far away-let us know they were with us. Rick and Teri also shared the most awesome friends- they are our “hand picked” family. The memories will last a lifetime. Our family cannot even begin to tell you how much we appreciate you and Thank You for always being there for us.
Rick is preceded in Death by his father, Karl Hudson, Baby Brother Timothy Watson, and his brother and best buddy, Darryle Watson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teri Hudson of Austin, Texas, son Nic Hudson, wife Meredith Hudson and granddaughter Emma Rae Hudson of Austin, Texas, son Michael Shane Hudson and Fiancé Laura McKenzie and her children Jesse and Caitlin of Lubbock, TX. His Mama & Pop, Peggy & Eddie Allesandro of Ennis, TX, Dad, Jerry Watson of Willow Park, TX, loving sister A.J. Watson of Willow Park, TX and sister Kim Holley.
Our sincerest thanks and appreciation to Hospice Austin, especially, Modita, Sarah and Brandi. Dr. John Doty, our angel, and all the folks at Texas Oncology.
A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at The Church of the Savior, 3402 Little Elm Trail, Cedar Park, Texas 78613.
