Son of James R. Cassidy, a naval officer for over 20 years, Bob spent his youth growing up at various naval base locations. He grew in faith and by high school had already received the call for priesthood.
It did take Bob a while to discover his true mission in life and that was to be a Chaplin at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. There he found his true north. He was able to help so many patients and their families as well as staff. He loved his work and his colleagues and his only regret was having to quit his passion far too soon. Father Bob is survived by his sisters Frances, Patricia and Margaret and her husband Sal, Nephews Robert and wife Gina and Larry and his wife Cristina, and their children Sal, Matthew and Amanda, as well as all his family at St. Joseph’s.
We would like to thank everyone who took such good care of him throughout his illness. Encompass H.H., Hospice Austin, SNW ER and SNW ICU.
